Beginner students will work on simple tunes, chords, theory and sight-reading. More advanced students will focus on the above and apply it to different musical genres and styles. We evaluate on a child to child basis if a young person is at the right starting age. 6 years old is generally the earliest age we recommend for guitar lessons. Guitar playing requires a fair amount of pressure on the fingertips. Children under 6 generally have small hands and may find playing uncomfortable. Bass guitar students generally are 7 years and older. Of course, there are exceptions to any rule, so if your child is under the age and is adamant about learning, feel free to stop by and talk to someone from our experienced staff.
The strings are the stars of the symphony orchestra. They give the orchestra its lush, rich sound and often carry the melody. The most common string instruments are the violin, viola, cello, double bass, and harp. String instruments can be very challenging to learn. Often students start at a very young age, but it’s never too late to start.
Student string instruments are made in fractional sizes to accommodate all ages and sizes.
Our drum/percussion teachers are versed in all styles of music. They start out by teaching basic rudimental and rhythmic studies to develop stick control and a sense of time. Our studios are equipped with electronic drums sets that have the sound and feel of a traditional drums set. Just bring your sticks and music to the lessons. You DO NOT need to own a drum set to begin lessons.
Piano is the best first instrument for young music students, all of the notes are laid out in front of them, and it does not require muscular development to produce a sound. For the more developed student we teach advanced techniques, performance, and theory, which can be applied to different styles from pop, jazz, rock, classical music, and more. For home practicing, we recommend a basic keyboard with at least 61 keys. If you need assistance in finding the right one, please let our experienced staff help you. In addition to traditional piano lessons, we have developed a preschool program (ages 3 to 5)
Brass lessons include private trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone horn, and tuba. Our teachers have degrees in music and perform in everything from concert bands, jazz bands to orchestras. We can help students enhance their skills for their school band program or develop advanced skills to become soloists. Our students often are accepted into the All-State Honor Band as well as becoming a leader in their school band. Brass instruments are versatile and in high demand for orchestras and bands. Whether you plan on finding a spot in an orchestra or band or just want to play for personal enjoyment, we can help you achieve your goals.

Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned professional, we have the appropriate teacher to meet your needs.
